1952
Arthur Cedar, a returning Navy officer, and Eleanor Stone, a bookkeeper for a Portland mill, open an agency to insure the homes and fishing boats of their neighbors.
1964
Cedar & Stone begins writing hull coverage for Casco Bay lobstermen when few agencies in Maine would.
1978
The agency buys the brick building at 212 Fore Street, where it still operates today.
1991
Margaret Stone-Pelletier becomes principal and builds out coverage for Old Port restaurants and local trades.
1998
Staff work seven-day weeks for a month to handle more than 1,400 claims across southern Maine.

A dedicated program for barns, equipment and hobby farms inland from the coast.

Daniel Pelletier leads a team of fourteen serving more than 9,000 households and businesses.
